Banks and hedges along A360 from Blackberry Lane to Mount Pleasant: The banks have again started to slide onto the footpath and narrowing the width. A couple of years ago Wiltshire County Council cut bank the banks and removed the soil to allow for the full width of the footpath to be exposed. The Clerk will contact the Clarence helpline to ask for this to be carried out again.

Wall adjacent to Bus shelter, Blackberry Lane: Work to repair the wall around the electricity sub station has not been carried out to date. The Clerk will contact Wiltshire County Council to ask when the work will be carried out.

Footpath from Court Hill to Whistley Road pump: This footpath is still very boggy in the middle. Mr Hoddinott and Mrs Benson have already investigated this area. Wessex Water has said that it is not a problem with sewage. Mrs Goddard suggested asking Kennet District Councils Environmental health to come out and take a sample of the water to try and ascertain its source. Mrs Goddard will ask Kennet to carry this out.

Potterne Youth Club: Donation request: The Parish Council has received a letter from Mrs Cutler who along with a group of others on Ryeleaze is trying to get the Youth Club up and running again. Mrs Cutler has approached the current trustees and three of them are resigning, Mrs Cutler is becoming one of the new trustees and Youth Action Wiltshire are in the process of helping them with a new constitution. The Parish Council have agreed in principle to support the Youth Club.

Kennet District Council Planning Withdrawal: The Parish Council were notified of the withdrawal of outline planning permission K/50071/O for land adjacent to Forge Cottage, Silver Street
KDC: Planning & Compulsory Purchase Act 2004: A copy of notes provided by Kennet District Council were copied and circulated to all Councillors for their information.

Footpath & Highways :
Whistley Road verges (1): A letter has been received from a resident of Whistley Road who has been asked to remove white verge marker stones from outside of his property by Wiltshire County Council as they consider them dangerous. After discussion the Parish Council agreed to write to Mr Cross at Wiltshire County Council to support the parishioner in trying to retain this stones for the safety of pedestrians and the listed building adjacent to the verge.
Whistley Road verges (2) Another resident of Whistley Road had sent a copy letter to the Parish Council, which he had sent to Wiltshire Highways Partnership in trying to get the verge along Whistley Road, adjacent to the pump re-instated following the resurfacing of the road. This resident was hopeful that kerbing of a suitable material could be placed to stop vehicles mounting the verge.
Grass cutting plan: Mrs Goddard has managed to obtain a copy of the grass-cutting programme from Kennet District Council. These plans show which authority is responsible for cutting the areas of grass around the village, particularly the housing estates. The one area of concern in Blackberry Lane, appears to be an area that is not included in anyone's maintenance programme. The Clerk will write to Kennet's legal department to see if they can assist in ascertaining who owns this particular piece of ground.
Partial closure of footpath 85: There has been no response from Mrs Esther Daly, Rights of Way Warden so the Clerk was asked to write to Barbara Burke at Wiltshire County Council to ascertain how long part of this footpath would be closed.

Burial & Property Maintenance:
Tree works: The Clerk was asked to obtain quotations for works to be carried out to the Ash tree in Blounts Court that overhangs a resident's garden and also the Maple in the cemetery in Brownleaze Lane.
